26 Jun.  After too much putting it off, the first big-ish trip of the year.  The plan to take the train to Amersham and then cycle back to West Drayton, a distance of 17 miles.  A quick tour of the town and then the route back home, with a detour to point B after a wrong turn!  Things were going fine and then I became aware of a strange noise from the rear wheel, but decided to push on.  Then a judder could be felt through the steering and I found the back wheel was badly warped.  Carefully rode back for about 1.5 miles and pushed the bike back to the station and then from Uxbridge station home.  Not a good start.  Once clear of the town it was a good route through nice countryside and some excellent roads.  Back to drawing board
